Brand: Designer Skin Lotion: CoCo de Ville Rating: 4 out of 5 Debut Year: 2012 Type: DHA Bronzer Bottle Size: 10 oz. Price: $30-36 Ingredients: N/A Scent: Pineapple and coconut! It smells amazing… like a pina colada. There is a very slight ATO from the DHA, but it’s not a deal-breaker. You have to put your nose on your arm to be able to detect it. Lotion: The texture is really lovely. It spreads easily into the skin. It’s very moisturizing, too. Color: Designer Skin really stepped it up on the bronzers for 2012. Their bronzers in previous years’ lotions are, in my opinion, weak and overrated. I’ve been pleased with nearly all of the 2012 DS lotions I’ve tried though. I get some good color when I use this! Special: This is one of those rare lotions which kind of tastes good. I’m not saying you should go and have yourself a meal at the salon. I’m just saying that if you wipe your hand on your mouth, it won’t taste bad. Similar to another DS lotion called Ravish Me.

By Princesa (12/19/2011 7:46:41 am): I freakn love the scent of this this lotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The scent is gonna vary for everyone..I pick up hints of pineapple and lots of coconut....after tanning my husband said I smelled like a pina colada.
*Ato-zero but in about 4hrs after tanning the DHA started kickn in a lot.
*I'm already pretty dark but the bronzers in this lotion worked liked a charm for me,my arms and legs are seriously darker....I used a tantoo on my leg and the outline is perfect for not using one on my leg in ages.
*As far as the "divine taste sensation" lol yep I licked my arm for the h3 ll of it and it tastes like a pina colada lol
I'm loving this lotion a lot mainly for the scent but it is a good bronzer imo and considering I'm already dark this gave me a really excellent color boost wich impressed me alone. This is one I'd highly suggest of trying a sample cuz obviously its gonna differ for everyone as far as results go and scent wise.
5/5 stars

Scent: Pineapple/coconut...it's pretty nice. You can smell the DHA after a few hours.
Texture: It rubs in easily and feels moisturizing, like most DS lotions.
Color: I was very pleased with the color boost! It was raining when I left the salon, so I was expecting to either not get a color boost, or that I would be streaky, but I still got good color!
I really want to get a bottle of this. I'm going to try packets of the new 2013 lotions, and if nothing else stands out to me, then I'll probably get a bottle.

If I could eat this lotion I would! (Well, I can lick it off my skin, so that's a start!) It smells divine before, during, and after tanning, and my boyfriend loved the flavor. This lotion rubs in easily and left my skin quite soft. I got a great boost, but two caveats with this lotion. First, be sure to wipe your hands, because I was left with some staining between my fingers for a few days. Second, after watching a few of the girls who bought this lotion use it before they had a base tan, we did have some issues with streaking/the orangies. For users who already had a base tan, there were no issues.
4/5

This lotion just gets you in the mood for spring and summer. Relax and have a virgin pina colada with Coco Deville. The scent alone makes you feel like your on vacation and is almost reason enough to buy it alone. Seriously...I am sensitive to smells, but it seemed so real, and not chemical like, so I really appreciated it.. The color is a light tan nude coming out of the bottle or packet, so its not 100% DHA based, therefore it won't leave you a messy streaky disaster... I recommend shaking up the bottle or packet before use, or it can be runny... Either way its moisturizing, and leaves you with good color, and great scent. I really would like a bottle soon if I don't find another bronzing lotion I prefer. When the scent fades throughout the day, I don't pick up an after odor, with some I have, so I love that about this.

Would you consider this a dark bronzer or would it be more in line with a medium bronzer? This is a good medium bronzer. I would suggest this for ppl who want to maintain color VS jump to another.

The smell and the results were awesome in this lotion. The only downfall to this lotion was that I cleaned my hands after application with antibacterial gel and the washcloth and I was still left with a terrible mess.

Scent: Pineapple coconut. 'nuff said. Sold. Plus it's kissable? Shut up and take my money. Texture: Little thin, but very easy to rub in. Pretty moisturizing. ATO: Not much ATO, maybe a hint of DHA. It got stronger as the night went on though. Color: Holy crap I got dark!! The only bad part was I somehow messed up when applying it on my arms and now I have a white strip on the side of my wrist. Sigh.
overall 4.5/5 I'm definitely glad I got a bottle.

Scent: Pineapple coconut. It smelled great in the bottle, but once I had it on, it had weird plasticky smell that didn't agree with me. Texture: Sort of runny and thin, but once it was applied, it felt great on my skin ATO: GOOD GRIEF this s**t stinks, lol! **More on that below Color: Great color boost!
I bought a bottle of this after reading good reviews about it and having a few friends who love it. I try not to use many bronzers that contain DHA because I HATE DHA, so the ATO was killer on me. I tanned last night about 6:30, kept waking up in the middle of the night smelling the DHA funk and now it's 8am and even after a shower, I still keep smelling it on me, ugh! Another thing I don't think about this lotion is you have to be REALLY careful how you apply it. I'm always careful when I apply bronzers and go in small, circular motions and always wash my hands afterward. Unfortunately, I still streaked between my fingers and on top of my hand. While this did give me a great color boost, I can't stand the horrible ATO in this. I also thought the lotion smelled awesome in the bottle, but it did have a weird plasticky smell I mentioned before that didn't agree with me. Have to give this lotion 3.5 out of 5 stars. I guess I'm in the minority!

Tanned with this last night in 20 min base bed. This is the only lotion I have used that left orange streaks on my hands/fingers even after wiping them like I always do with all lotions, and I have been tanning for over 10 years. DHA is higher on the ingredients list than the other DHA lotions I have. Orange between fingers is annoying but I like the fact that it means I am darker everywhere else too. Lol This smells amazing and rubs in well. Felt very smooth after application. I don't think it tastes like piña colanda but it doesn't taste bad. If I didn't already have too many lotions I would buy a bottle.

I am laughing so hard at "have yourself a meal at the salon!"
I have used this a couple times.
The scent is pretty nice. It's not my preferred scent, but it is generally nice. I love how nicely this rubs in. I like my lotions to be on the thinner consistency side, and not thick at all. This felt nice to me.
The color boost is wonderful. I was pretty impressed at how dark I got from it.
The ATO is a little...bad. If you're sensitive to ATO I would stay away from this one, or maybe just use it on your legs or something. It's not downright gross stinky, but it definitely smells like tanning. I wouldn't get a bottle of this, but I would definitely use it again.

I used this a long time ago, but I only used packets.
Scent is awesome. Pineapple and coconut. Smells like a Pina Colada. I am coconut scent obsessed... so it's pretty strong from what I remember.
I got excellent color from this lotion, but have to wipe my hands really well to avoid orange palms. It's a lotion you really have to rub in, in circular motions.
Def. had a ATO smell after 3 to 4 hours. It wasn't horrible. I didn't buy a bottle... I was more impressed with another bronzer. Plus this is discontinued. I would use a packet but not waste my time with a whole bottle.

To add to all the positive reviews on this here's my review!
Lotion, light texture easy to apply, brown colour. Scent, at first its that fake coconutty smell, not authentic, but that weird sweet coconutty scent, it was fine, i couldn't really get the pineapple. The smell reminds me of the Vaseline spray n go moisturiser in the brown can. Ato, whew helloooo DHA ! Results, nice! Got a lovely instant colour, and the dha further darkened it.
Results wise Coco de ville reminds me of DS Golden Ceremony. So if you used to like that lotion, defo try Coco de ville. Although i way prefer the scent of Golden Ceremony.
All in all i really like this lotion! 4/5 stars

I love this lotion and I still use my bottle! It smells divine, makes my skin kissably soft, and gives me consistent dark color. 5/5!
