I thought I would throw out an idea or two of exercises we can do while tanning. Maybe some other people have some ideas as well - please feel free to add your own ideas.
ABS - who doesen't want better ABS? While the elusive 6 pack may never be in my personal future, flat strong hard ABS not only look good (on Men and Women), but strong ABS make for a strong back and can prevent or improve back issues that are so common amongst people.
1). While laying out in the SUN on your blanket or lounge chair ==> Suck your ABS in as you slowly breath ALL the way out. As you exhale the air from your lungs - contract your ABS towards your back (the ground / bottom of the chair). Imagine a string with a weight attached to your navel, pulling your ABS down to the ground until your back is as flat as possible against the chair or ground. When you have exhaled as far as you can (while contracting your ABS), do a series of 10 quick short inhales/exhales (think Lamaze Birthing Breathing - He He He) while continuing to contract your ABS flater and closer to your back/ground. Now take a deep breath and relax your ABS (half a second or so). REPEAT as often as you like while baking to a golden brown.
2). While laying on your back - Breath all the way out while contracting your ABS and liftting your legs about halfway up (45 degree angle to the floor) and hold it there while slowly exhaling. Then lower the legs Slooowly as you complete the exhale. The feet can touch the ground/chair as you complete the exhale. More advanced version - DO NOT let your feet actually touch the ground/chair. At the closet to the ground your feet get (3 inches?) without touching the ground, take a big inhale, relift your legs to the 45 degree angle, and start the Slooow exhale as you slowly lower your legs. Repeat as often as you like. CAUTION: If you already have a back issue - you MAY want to skip this exercise or modify it so that you start at a 90 degree angle (feet straight up in the air) and Slooowly lower as far as you can without feeling too much back strain. The closer you can get your back to be FLAT on the ground as you do this exercise, the LESS back strain.
I'll add more Tanning exercises as I think of them over time. Any ideas / experiences from anyone else?
Heres to Happy Tanning and GREAT ABS (they go perfect together)!!!!
