I've been trying some " new to me" makeup colors, One I have experimented with and found I love was a Blusher by Hard Candy called " Living Doll". I've had it for awhile and hadn't used it because it looked weird on pale skin, now I use it on my cheeks and mixed with a neutral color for my eyes. You guys?

I was using NC30 from MAC and am up to NC43 for foundation. I haven't updated my blush yet but I probably should! I have been using Nars' in Orgasm but I think it's getting a little too light for me now. Luckily my container is almost out.

I just started a new mac palette for blushes. I used to lean towards deep throat by nars and orgasm but I feel like they look weird on me. Melba is a gorgeous neutral but I've loved colors like Modern Mandarin and Peony something from the limited edition tres cheek collection (now permanent).

I just bought my very first lipstick Friday. It's called Excessive from Victoria's Secret and it is gorgeous on tan skin & white teeth.
I'm normally just a CalTan bronzing powder, mascara and MAYBE some chapstick kinda girl, but I'm loving this lipstick. It seems buildable too. It was really pretty with a coat of the clear Baby Lips by Maybelline (the one in the blue tube) over it.

Lol!! Thanks. I hardly ever wear a lot of makeup because I'm always either at work or at the barn on my horse. Buuuut, it was my birthday and we were going out so I decided to treat myself.

That color is very pretty. I have a bright pink like that by Lime Crime called Countessa Fluorescent. And it does look great with a tan! Another pink lipstick by Lime Crime is Great Pink Planet. And it looks awesome with a tan too since it's lighter shade of pink!

Clinique has a limited edition blush out right now called "ginger pop" that looks really nice with a tan. I also bought their "purchase with a purchase" promotional set in "splashy nudes" and those colors look very nice with tanned skin too. A nice, easy natural look. Love it for summer:)

SNOB by Mac is an AMAzinnngggg light light light pink lipstick and only those who are tan can pull it off! I love it! Also smashbox has an amazing halo bronzer with no shimmer and doesn't cause any acne problems. I've been using it for almost 3 years now, it's wonderful

The best advice I can give (I am a makeup artist, so trust me on this) for tan skinned people like us, is to go for deeper mauves and plums(warmer or cooler depending on your undertone) when you're trying to keep a more neutral, natural look. Obviously since you are darker, you can pull of brighter colors BUT this does depend on your skin's undertone. If you're cool, you can go for brighter purples and pinks, if you're warm you can go for oranges and corals. If you're lucky to be neutral, you can go with whatever really since you're an even balance of color temperature. Bright lip colors are always fun for a nice pop! Also you can pull off bright blush as long as its a sheer wash. If you are looking for a range of bronzers that go extremely dark, go for the Guerlain ones. They are expensive but they have so much pigment in them! They last for a long time.

The FitMe line from maybelline has been amazing for my tanning progress. Doesn't make me look orange or chalky
