So it snowed 8 inches here on Tuesday. Hasn't gotten above 19 degrees since. Going down to single and negative digit temperatures at night, wind chills at -20 degrees in the early AM.
Another 2.5 inches fell last night/yesterday afternoon.
I just went out in my pajamas (4 AM) and measured it with a yard stick.
This is the CURRENT / pajama snow measuring conditions:
18 degrees (F) feels like 5 degrees.
Another "Walk in the park" in the Northeastern U.S - all week ahead..... just like this. -2 forecast for low on Tuesday night in 2 days.
Lovely!!!!

EEK!!!! That's even worse than here, Wendy. Except does it make that much difference if it is -2 with a wind chill of -25 or -6 with a wind chill of -35?
It's like worsening degrees of unbearable.....

So we are getting 8+ inches of HEAVY WET SNOW today here at my house. It is already coming down HEAVY and the roads are slippery and snow covered. It's not 7 AM yet and it's only just begun. I told the Mrs. I AM DRIVING her to work whenever she wants to go, IF she wants to go. She is generally the better driver between the two of us in normal driving conditions, and we generally let her drive. BUT I am a WAY better driver in the snow. I don't think she minds being chauffeured to work in a snow storm.

So after 10" of heavy wet snow fell yesterday, it went down to 19 degrees last night and NOW we are expecting a Hail, Sleet, Snow (3 inches) and a finale of 1/4 inch of freezing rain/ice storm on top of that starting at 9 PM TONIGHT through Wednesday's rush hour commute.
So much FUN!!!!!

Now the ice storm has brought down massive amounts of trees and power lines. 300,000+ homes without power at PECO (my electric company) including my house.
I am at Starbucks.
Just tanned for the day.
No heat. Down to 63 at my house and it's 9:30 AM.
Hoping for a timely restore of power.....

Power came back on at 8 PM last night (14 hours without power).
It was down to 58 in the Dark, though the candle light throughout the house was kind of romantic. And NO TV is also kind of romantic.
All back to normal here now... maybe we can keep the romantic going though...
