Decided to try a Versa at my local salon, after a few years away. My guy is UV tanning and I'm still not ready to return to the "dark side" so figured a spray would take the edge off.
Didn't realize it was pouring rain out, but I was determined to keep my appointment. I foolishly assumed my unbrella would protect me. On the way home, though, the rain pelted down on my arm and soaked through the thin fabric of my jacket and the backs of my pants, causing the wet fabric to cling to my forearms & calves, and a few drops of rain also got onto my chin and hand. Needless to say, I was FREAKING OUT the entire walk home (about 10 mins) figuring my tan was ruined. Meanwhile, my boyfriend was jokingly muttering under his breath: you should've just gone into the bed!" and I was thinking he was probably right (but was too annoyed to agree ... *LOL*).
As soon as I got home, I gently buffed the areas in question and crossed my fingers. Checking the colour a few hours later, I'm amazed that there are no obvious white spots or splotches anywhere. What a relief! The colour is actually a nice light beige (I only did level 1), so I'm very pleased. Tragedy averted (phew); I won't make that mistake again-!!

LOL! I couldn't help but have a chuckle and smile when I read your post. I'm glad your spray tan turned out ok! About 10 years ago, I decided to do my very first spray tan with the Mystic the same day that I had a big event for work. I thought my tan looked HOT until a couple of hours later I showed up and it started pouring down rain and my tan was dripping and running down my arms and legs! I think sunless has come a long way since then. Glad you enjoyed your Versa!

When I worked at Palm Beach, we used to tell people not to spray tan when it was raining. They'd do it anyway & we'd inevitably get a call from them screaming at us about how their spray was ruined. Sigh.

Sigh. I didn't get one all summer--why--because I don't have a car; I walk and I know how much I sweat. People have no common sense!
