I have a cat that was mine until I moved away from home named Twinkie. My mom has had her ever since and is sooooo attatched to her. She lives alone and is disabled so the cat means the world to her. Well, Twinkie's health has gone down hill drastically and it's almost the time to make "the decision". I'm so torn up inside today. This is awful. I hope others out there understand the pain.

Yup, I sure do.. having to make that heartbreaking decision myself..my 14 yr old Yorkie that has gone blind and starting to fall when she tries to walk.. I cant take it anymore seeing her like this..she has the heart of a Lion.. and the Love of the entire Universe.

Prayers to you to help ease the emotional pain. Keep in touch with how your pup is doing. I have two dogs and cats of my own here. They're so much help with coping...they know when something is wrong.

I'm so so sorry to hear about Twinkie. I know how hard it is when you lose a pet. They often become like children. I lost two elderly cats within six months of each other about two years ago. One was 18, the other was 16. It was so incredibly hard. I hope that you know Twinkie is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you. Many hugs

Just thinking about how you feel makes my tummy ill and brings tears to my eyes. I totally understand. I lost my doberman to cancer. She used to lick my tears when I would cry. She was my buddy. I AM SO SORRY you are going through this hard time.

Thank you everyone. Some people might not understand this kind of loss. I don't have brothers or sisters, I don't have kids, and my family is extremely small...so I have pets. They've always been there for me. Losing one takes a piece of your soul with them. But having pets adds a lot of pieces back...I can't imagine a life without them.
