my cat is like a son to me. i seriously could spend $200 on him like its nothing & if anyone even did so much as touch a hair on him the wrong way i would kill them. #mother instinct w/o being a mother :/ lol what is something people might find you crazy for but you really don't give a fuhhh? i felt like this could be a very interesting topic & it'll also help us all to get to know each other better. post as many as you'd like.

I have 4 dogs and 1 cat (who thinks she's a dog), so I feel ya! I totally don't care that I'm well on the path to being a crazy cat/dog lady. Also, my maple saplings are my babies, and I talk about them as if they're human children. This past weekend, I gave two of them to my mom to transplant on her acreage (I don't have any room for them), and I swear, I am so nervous, hoping they survive the transplant. lol Sadly, I won't know until spring. There's no reason they should not as I've done hours and hours of research, but it's still nervewracking!

I'm the same way about my cat! She is my babygirl and even shares the same b-day as me (and will be getting lots of goodies for her b-day too).
The only othe stuff ppl might think I'm nuts about is my perfume obsession and tanning lotion obession lol the only ppl that know really how much tanning lotion I have in my closet and storage bins are my husband and kids and you guys lol I know how other ppl would trip and react about it.

It's probably not going to be possible for me to have kids so these 4 guys are my children and I love them oh so deeply so I totally see where your coming from...

Touching them gently (like petting them) might also be helpful. I am actually being SERIOUS - so do not think otherwise. Good luck with the transplant babies.

2 cats here. Way better than babies. They poop in a box. Just moved and my one cat almost died. He is an old cat and never went through a real move before... 3000$ dollars later everyone is acting like we (s.o. and I) were insane for spending that on him just because he was 11 years old. He is TOTALLY fine now. How could you not spend whatever you had to save your best friend. Its only money. The lady we adopted him from chipped in on the bill and was so thankful. The reason she gave him to us was because we wouldn't just put him down if he had a health problem flare up. (he does have a crystals history) Pets are the best.

You're awesome, UV! I love the way you said it: "It's just money." At the time, it just seems impossibly exorbitant, but if you think of it like that, it seems stupid and not even measurable to a life.

Money is no object when it comes to my fur babies... I mean they're my best friends and my responsibility to take the very best care of I can take... I've always said that a person that's going to become a fur parent really needs to make sure they know what their getting into... Our fur babies is just like having a 3 yr old for their entire lives... they need constant care and someone willing to take the best of care of them... It truly is something I wish more people would think about when you have those people that gets their kitten or puppy and don't realize how hard it's going to be ... you really do have to give it 1000% ya know?

my cats are my best and most important things in the world!!! I so know what your saying... it really breaks my heart when I try to talk to people that don't understand where I'm coming from when I tell them how much my dogs mean to me... I think some people have just never got to experience what it's like to connect with something other then another person...

I have a rabbit since I am allergic to cat. We had a dog for 11 years but now I live in a condo so more practical with the bunny. The last bunny I had we spent around $1,200 on her because she was so sick. I believe that when you take an animal you have to treat it like a family member. At the end of her life my dog was in diapers for 18 months. Some people were telling me that I should have her put down and each time I would reply : Maybe I should have my mom put down as well because she now wears diapers...
