So we're obviously all tanners here. My question is what are y'all's hobbies outside of tanning? I ride my horses every chance I get and most days would rather be at the barn than anywhere else in the world. Most of my paycheck goes to taking care of them & I'm ok with that. After all, I don't have to worry about paying for my tanning membership. Other than that I like to read. I guess I'm kind of boring haha. What about y'all?

Tanning is a hobby! I work 44 hours a week and tanning is when I relax. Other than that I also read and then my boyfriend lives about an hour away so most of the rest of my free time is spent in transit lol

I'm pretty boring myself. You don't seem boring. Horses seem like a good time. When I'm not working , tanning or at the salon all I do is watch movies! I love all types! Horror/scary ones are my favorite though. I guess it's not a hobby, but it is what I do with most of my time

I'm such a chicken shit. I can't do scary movies at all. Anything that jumps out at me gives me a heart attack. Props to you for having the balls to watch them though!!! Horses are a pretty good time. It definitely helps me relax, even if I'm not riding. Just being around them gives me a sense of peace.

I wish I could've been around horses in my life. Such beautiful creatures! ! Guess I'll hafta stick to the ugly creatures in horror flicks! Haha

I don't really do much honestly. Plan my wedding that's coming up in September and try to find a job using my degree. I graduated with my B.A. in 2010 and still work at Starbucks. Kind of sad!

Me and my boyfriend LIVE for horror movies! haha I spend most of my spare time watching Netflix or movies as sad as it sounds or looking at tanning lotions online! Tried learning crochet for awhile, but I'm not patient enough to learn many new techniques. Reading, shopping. Not a whole lot of hobbies for me either

I have 2 kids (4 & 9) so they take up majority of my time. I see my boyfriend 2-3 times a week for a few hours in the evening when he gets off work. Other than that I really do nothing. I enjoy dinner and movies though.

You are a dedicated individual and I respect you for your determination and intelligence. You are correct in stating you have little time for anything else but study. Having taken numerous Chemistry courses, I feel your pain. You have chosen a difficult field to enter but one that will pay big $$'s in the future, Use tanning to relax yourself from the educational grind, but keep on going. I admire you.

I'm in my 3rd year of pharmacy school but already have my BS. So Total I have done 7 years since graduating high school. Luckily, my undergraduate was super hard and prepared me well so I have more free time then a lot of my classmates but still looking forward to finally being done. And next year is rotations (still lots of work) but no exams! And tanning is definitely a stress reliever for me - although sometimes I find myself reciting stuff while i'm in the tanning bed (kind of defeating the relaxing aspect haha). iamtanforever is also a great procrastination tool - when i'm online constantly like this weekend it usually means I have an exam coming up haha.

What subject did you get your BS in? And like yourself I am avoiding/procrastinating developing a course that I have to teach later this month by being on line seeing what other tanners are thinking about. How about you, are you an avid tanner (like me) who needs to take some time off (periodically) from what they are "supposed to be doing" before they can get back into the serious stuff? Let me state my priorities - would rather be tanning right now if I could...

I just constantly need to be doing other things as I study or else I just zone out - and checking this forum is one of those things. I also always have to have the TV on. I always try to make time for tanning - I already went this morning. What course are you teaching? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Horses are a pretty good time. It definitely helps me relax, even if I'm not riding. Just being around them gives me a sense of peace. So - I have been around - being the "old man" of IAMTANForever.... So I have a LOT of different experiences. Horses are fantastic animals/beings. Look into their eyes. I worked as a "Hot Walker" at the thoroughbred race track in my area when I was 16 years old. There are a LOT of funny/interesting stories I could tell about this, but the one I am going to tell you is: I was new at the "job" (not really a job for me as I LOVE all animals). They would give me every really difficult horse to walk, because they liked me and were not difficult for me. Other people (full time year round people who lived at the track) - were sometimes MEAN to the horses. I mean like punch them in the mouth MEAN. I just wanted to "chat" with the horses and look at them and feel their good energy. (OK - I'm a bit out there. I am old enough NOW to not care what people think). So the horses and I were buddies and they cooperated with me, because I was gentle and treated them like the intelligent beings they are. Enjoy the horses!!! Have a GREAT Day!!!!
