Hey guys, I'm wondering if you could share your first experiences with tingles! I just bought a packet of Swedish Beauty Pink Diamond, but I'm a little nervous to try it! What can I expect? Should I hold off till I'm super dark? Thanks guys

I've never tried that specific one but you should expect to feel really hot and "tingly" and sometimes even itchy. The itchiness is what really gets me lol. If you have any kids I advise you NOT to touch them as you could burn them too. Don't put it on your face. And do not take a shower til like the next day because hot water will "reactivate" the tingle and sometimes make it worse. Hope this helps.

Same goes for your animals. My first experience with tingles was great. I made sure I had my base tan first. Then I mixed some tingle with another tanning lotion to dilute it and just went for it. When I got used to that, I added more and more tingle lotion until I was using all tingle. Then that was all she wrote! Now I use the hottest stuff I can find. My favorite medium (to me) tingle is Goddess and I have two favorite super hot ones, Ed Hardy's Body Shots and Ultimate Inferno. There are tons of mild to medium tingles you should try before you go super hot. I just worked my way up.

I think the first tingle I used was a Cal Tan tingle/cooling lotion, I can't remember what it was called now. Next was probably Pink Diamond. As others have said, you may get a little hot, "tingly," red, and maybe a little itchy.

Oh right, you get red as a lobster too. You look and feel like you got the worst sunburn of your life. You will be cherry red and that lasts a few hours.
BUT the tan you get afterwards is soooooo worth it. Youll want to do it all the time.

The first tingle I ever used was Intoxicating by swedish beauty. It was a T40 and I used it all over except my face in a stand up. After I got past the sensation of being hotter and itchier I loved it. I've probably tried over 50 tingles my favorite still being Ruby by DS and Modern Bombshell by DS. Pink Diamond is very light but has a little punch to get you used to tingles. You'll do great and become a tingle junkie!

Pink diamond is a perfect light tingle, I love that lotion it gets me superrrr dark. I might have to use it tomorrow now!!! Everything everyone said is pretty much everything you need to know. It will feel prickly/ hot in the bed and that is perfectly normal, same with being beet red afterwards.
My first time using a tingle I didn't really know what to expect and the girl at the salon also didn't really prep me for it which was the worst part- Because I didn't know what to expect! I used a relatively strong (IMO) tingle (CT Ionyx) and from the word "tingle" I expected it to be cooling or like a refreshing sensation ( think when you use a facial cleanser with menthol). Well I started tingling away in the bed and got so nervous so got out of the bed and saw how red I was and my skin was soooo sensitive. I always used to tan right before work and at the time I worked at DQ and worked my whole shift feeling all burnt and sore. I think a lot of it was mental though because I hadn't known what to expect I was really caught off guard. When I got home I googled tingles and understood that I'd had a normal reaction and them the next day I was soooooo dark from it!

My first tingle was a packet of something, I want to say it was AG Heated but I'm not sure. I remember thinking I was going to actually tingle but it felt more like I was burning lol. When I got out I was bright red and DARK. I went home and sat in the couch next to my sleeping 1 year old and my leg was touching his and a big red spot appeared where I was touching him! It didn't seem to bother him but I felt horrible and immediately washed his leg off. I didn't use tingles for a while after that lol but now I love them! Just don't touch anyone afterward lol

The first time I ever used a tingle was a few years ago and it was Supre's cherry bomb diluted with another white lotion (probably supre honey dew hemp) and I applied it only to my legs...I was really nervous to try it all over even if it was a light tingle haha oh and I did this after I had a base tan. It went so well I started using tingles more often and by themselves, but I'll admit I like to mix my lotions a lot. So even tho I could stand tingles on their own I still liked to mix it with other lotions to try and boost results. The color boost of using a tingle is addicting!! My legs are hard to tan and that's what really helped me.
I haven't tried pink diamond, but I ordered a packet recently and plan to use it to reintroduce tingles into my routine for this season.
I also loved synergys tan fusion berry me darker. It was a white lotion, light tingle, and I loved the scent!!! I'd recommend starting with tingles on your arms and legs first. The most annoying part of a tingle for me is the itching.

I'm gonna scare you... lol.
My 1st time was with DS Bombshell. I knew what to expect, so I was ok with the burning sensation. But once I stood up from the bed, I almost passed out! Slowly and clumsily got dressed and made it out to the waiting room. Good thing no one else was there besides employee. I told her I didn't feel so good and had to sit down. She had to bring me water to drink and I just had to sit and chill until I felt ok enough to drive home. It was crazy.
Did it hinder me from using them? Nope! I love them now! I've never had a similar reaction since this initial one. However I do recommend waiting until you have a solid base before using. And I also recommend trying them on legs 1st so you know what to expect.
Side note - I've always put them on my face. It wasn't until maybe a year ago or so that I learned you're not supposed to apply to face. (Above incident happened about 10 years ago.) Reason being, you can get broken capillaries from them. I asked around to see if others applied to face and they would look down all guilty like and say yes lol. Well I've never had an issue with broken capillaries so I've continued to apply tingles to my face with no issues. Besides, I love a dark face!
So this is my story. Don't let it scare you though. Just heed my warnings and know once you start with tingles, you won't stop!

Ive only ever used DS royal flush. It only has natural bronzers that wash away.
It feels like a light sunburn and you will look sunburned for several hours. I have hard to tan calves, so thats the only place I put it. However, you have to wash your hands after you put it on. It spreads easy. When im using it I apply an accelerator everywhere but my shins, usin the tingle there last, it will still spread but not so much. I live for how warm I get in a tanning bed with a tingle. Plus, I get a great color from it!

It seems like the first tan is the worst and then you get accustomed to it.

My first time was with pro tans hot tottie i think, it was 2 days before prom and i was curious as to why my mom liked it so much. I applied it at home before going tanning and walking there was a disaster (my uncle owned a tanning salon close to my house) i was soooo red and the actual experience itself was terrible. I was crazy itchy, hot and burning that i got scared. But fast forward 7 years later and i love them. So im guessing moral of most stories is yur going to dislike it at first but in the end you'll love it <3 lol
