I have waited literally YEARS to buy and review this lotion, I was so intrigued by the high price tag (MSRP of $200!!) and I love Ultimate tanning lotions so when I saw it on sale for $40 I just bought a bottle. Here is my review:
Scent: Totally nasty!! Omg the scent of this lotion is baby powder and grandma's flowers that immediately transforms into cat urine the second it dries on your skin. Sorry not sorry, but the lotion smells SO terrible before you can even start your tanning bed, however...
Results: Totally amazing!! I seriously get amazing color from this lotion!! Such nice dark brown color, at least 2-3 shades in just one use, even with a good tan!! It does contain a good amount of DHA (not as much as smoke black), but I've never seen streaks and always get color that surprises me every time. If you can get past the scent, the results are great!
Texture: This is a light brown, thick silicone lotion. It rubs in easily, goes on super smooth, and absorbs nicely. I really enjoy the the texture of this lotion and it feels very high-end.
Overall: Honestly I'm glad I only paid $40 for this lotion, which is basically my max for ANY lotion. The insane MSRP is all about smoke and mirrors...there is no such thing as "self adjusting bronzers" and it doesn't even attempt to contain "pheromones" for being a "love potion"!! The results are great but honestly the scent kills it for me, I'm never eagerly awaiting my next tanning session to use this lotion. And because it contains DHA, don't even THINK about using this lotion before a party or night out! IDK, try a packet if you are intrigued by the luxury price and appeal of this lotion, but unless you can get it for super cheap, I wouldn't recommend a bottle.
Oh yeah, I would compare this lotion to "Needing Nirvana" by DC, a thinner silicone lotion that gave me great results with an equally stinky smell. Unfortunately it has been discontinued
