My fiance has to go to Colorado next month for work, and I have decided to go along with him for this week trip. We were initially going to fly, but he asked yesterday what I thought about making a "road trip" out of it, I agreed a road trip would be nice and fun. We are looking at almost a 20hour drive and will be driving through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, then Colorado.
I have never been to Colorado, he has before and said it was one of the most beautiful places he has been, and the Colorado Rockies are gorgeous. I'm super excited to be taking this trip with him, and to get in a sense a "mini vacation" with all kinds of sight seeing in.
Anyone else been to Denver, or even live there? Any sights etc you would recommend we check out?

i went to denver/aurora a few years ago but just for a pharmacy school interview. Unfortunately I didnt get a chance to enjoy it but remember it being absolutely beautiful and wishing I had more time to explore. Enjoy!!!

We are back from our trip, and OH MY GOSH let me tell you.....We did a lot of fun things during our time in Colorado, but by far the best part of the trip was driving up Mount Evans. By far the most BEAUTIFUL and best thing I have done so far in my life and would recommend anyone that ever has the chance, to take some time to witness it yourself. I was in AWE the entire time, just gorgeous!!! All the different wildlife, the various terrains, how we went from summer clothes to winter clothes. It was 39 degrees and snowing and sleeting at the top of Mount Evans, and our elevation was 14,130 feet!! I took A LOT of photos LOL but thought I would share this one with everyone real quick, this is myself and my fiance standing in front of Summit Lake which is around half way as we are going up Mount Evans!
