It really depends on what you want to do. Each has it's pro's and cons. If you like a nearly fully customizable OS and the ability to do things like root your phone, I'd stick with android. If you lean more toward strictly apps, mobile games, web surfing and such, I'd make the move to apple. As of late, there are a few kinks with iOS8 which should be worked out over the next week or two. I'm happy with my 5C for the moment. I probably won't upgrade until the iPhone 7 comes out. Although, the iWatch is looking really appealing right now...

I'm gonna get the IPhone 6 but I cant upgrade until the end of October, so I'll have to wait a while. I made the switch back to the IPhone when the 4S was released (I made the switch from blackberry though) and I definitely found it to be a lot better then I had experienced with the prior IPhone models I had.

I have a four year old HTC Android something that's still kicking, though I would like a bigger phone with a stylus, to replace caring around a notepad. iPhones just don't appeal to me, since while I like my iPad for some things, I don't want a phone that acts like that too. I'm a little nerdy, so maybe that's why the Android and Windows phones appeal to me more.

I have an iPhone 4 for my work phone and I can't stand it. It feels like a child's toy when I compare it to my Samsung Galaxy Note II. I can't customize nearly the amount of things that I want, and it's so tiny! I'm the sure the iPhone 6 is probably better than the 4, but eh, Android forever for me~ <3

I have the LG Optimus Dynamic II tracfone. It's the first smart phone that Tracfone came out with, well, maybe second. Anyway, it doesn't have a ton of memory or the greatest camera(only 3 mp's), but if you have wi-fi or don't use a lot of data, it's really economical. The cost of the phone was what a 1 year card costs, which includes 1200 minutes each of texting and phone calls, and 1200 mb of data. You can also just buy data cards for it, too. And no monthly charges!

It's hard for me to go back to the iPhone (I had it from 2009 until May of this year) after switching to the Galaxy S5. I just feel like the iPhone isn't very customizable. I like to be able to download new ring tones & text tones straight to my phone instead of having to buy on iTunes and hook my phone up to iTunes.

I got a new phone recently! I got the htc one m8 . Its a great phone has lots of memory and a nice big screen. Have you seen the bigger iPhone 6 has been bending in people's pockets? If you google it you will see pictures of it where its bent! A lot of unhappy customers.

Samsung Galaxy S3 for me. Works fine. Battery duration is not that great, and email is just okay, but otherwise, I have had a nice large screen for the past 18 months, and these Apple iphone nerds are going gaga (sorry gagagirl) over a large screen phone, that everyone else already has.

I don't think it's just the bigger graphics screen. There's also the better processor, graphics, etc. Nothing wrong with nerds btw . The decision is really just a question of what you want is what you use your phone for. For some, talking about OS preference is just as taboo as talking about politics and what goes on in the bedroom. If you want to get technical about OS's iOS is based on the Unix-like Darwin (BSD), OSX. Android is derived from Linux. Personally, I am a Linux fan, but I didn't want my phone to function like my desktop and vice versa. The latest apple updates seem to be very, very buggy. (At least for older apple devices.) Also, iOS updates come from apple no matter what carrier you are on. Android updates come from your carrier. Also iPhone bend is highly unlikely to happen if at all. www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2014/09/26/apple-bending-iphone-an-overblown-myth.html If we really, really want to get technical.........Just kidding. Apologies for blithering so much on the topic so much.

I have the S5 and I love it. I've had iPhones ever since the 3GS. But this year I realized that Apple is putting out the same damn phone year after year. I made the jump to android (with some skepticism since I had the S3 for a short time and despised it) but I love the S5.

Anyway any of you getting either of the 2 new IPhone 6's? long time no see. heard about this board when I received an email from a member here few days ago. wanted to stop by and see you. I still have the iPhone 4 been reading reviews lately wanting a new phone. I rarely get the same phone twice always wanting to try something new. I'm thinking about getting the Samsung s5 or the note 4. I like the idea of better customizing plus the option of adding a memory card. On the downside android phones are full of bloatware the carriers place on it. Android manufactures need to do as apple and not let carriers put bloatware on their devices. also with a iPhone apple handles the updates and everyone gets them at the same time. With android the carries release the updates and when you get them varies from carriers.. With the iPhone I find it boring with lack of customizing.

So I have been holding off on getting any 4G phone up until now. But with the possibility of a new job that will require me to have one I am looking at 4G phones.
Minimally - the phone needs a hotspot (for my laptop), good email capabilities and good voice quality for business calls.
I am looking at the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is looking pretty good.
Is there something else I should be looking at for comparison?
