Brand: Designer Skin Lotion: Modern Bombshell Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Debut Year: 2012 Type: DHA Bronzer (Tingle) Bottle Size: 13.5 oz. Price: $35-42 Ingredients: N/A Scent: From what I read, this scent is very “love it or hate it.” Personally, I loved it. It’s one of my favorite lotion scents. It smelled like roses and baby powder. I’d love to find this scent in more lotions. No ATO. Lotion: It’s a nice consistency and thickness. It glides easily onto the skin. In regard to the tingle, I’d classify it as a medium tingle. It’s on par with the heat in Swedish Beauty “Stunning” or Playboy “Ooh La La at the Mansion.” Not as hot as Ed Hardy “Body Shots,” but still hotter than Supre “Cherry Bomb.” I’ve never tried the original Bombshell, but people generally agree this lotion is a little hotter than that one. Color: I got really awesome color from this! It was only a medium-intensity tingle, but it definitely gave me the boost as if I had used a high-intensity tingle! If I didn’t already have too many tingle bottles, I’d certainly buy a bottle of this.

By Princesa (02/25/2012 7:39:02 pm): *ATO- was gross with this one...smelling like nasty burnt roses and powder is disgusting.
*Decent color boost.
*Tingle for me was a medium, got super red,no itchies.
Overall this is a nice tingle I liked it but the ATO is just making this one not worth it for me at all,I wouldn't buy a bottle.....I'll stick with Goddess, original Bombshell and Roar!
1/5 stars

Modern Bombshell was better the second time I tried it...
The first time I tried it, I noticed amazing color boost...I had never turned red from a tingle bronzer, but did expect to sizzle as it said 300XX sizzling bronzer and had never seen that extreme level written on a bottle...I have felt strong tingle from Australian Gold...so the heat wasn't anything I couldn't handle.
My tanning salon dislikes selling tingle lotions, bc ppl seem to think they are having an allergic reaction, so now there is a disclaimer for tinglers. and they aren't popular where I go, I dont think ppl are well versed in what a tingle can do for you, but I get the some cant take the heat, but its the best salon based on reviews in OC, and its clean, and only $30.00 a month for gold membership, 2 ladies are knowledgable enough now that I have talked more with them, and realized, and have become a better customer at my place...they do restock new lotions, but I will say they seem to listen to their feedback now (popular demand), can't fault that...so if there is anything else I want, I order from TLS. And I love to try a lot of things because you ladies have tried great things, and it enables me to try more LOL. But I love products. Anyways, I digress I guess...
This was the first time I turned red...and so with a little research on tingles I discovered many do. I only got itchy later in the day...and showered early the next morning, itch was gone...
The first time I used this my body seemed to get over heated...I felt sweatier than usual...but I do yoga as well, and it was a nice warm day...I didn't feel stinky, just uncomfortable...
The second time I tried it a few days later, using up the remainder of my packet of lotion, I can usually get two uses per packet, and found a similar tingle sensation for at least 2 hours...with less redness....so I guess I was becoming more immuned, or just had a better reaction....I do love the smell of this....and it gave me so much deep color...I didn't feel itchy the second time...
I am not sure if a bottle would be worth my money bc I would be hesitant to use it probably...but like many tingler users say, you get immuned...I may try a different or the original bombshell as I was plsed with my color 110%
No pain no gain.

Halfway through my bottle of this one and realized I haven't done a review yet.
Scent- out of the bottle and while tanning it smells like a fresh clean scent, like fresh linen and baby powder. That's the best way I can describe it.
ATO- whoa man do I reek when I'm done using this lotion. My mom and girlfriend compared me to a wet dog haha.
Tingle- I love the tingle in this lotion especially on cold days. I have used about 25 tingles and this one is still my favorite. It does get kind of intense.
Bronzers- the Bronzers in this are really good IMO.
Results- I always get a huge color boost when I use this one and will repurchase. The only con is the ATO but I'll just make it a point to not stop anywhere or see anyone after I use this lotion.
All and All- 5/5 I can handle the ATO since the Bronzers and tingle in this are awesome.

Used this one for the first time today. Oh my gosh, what a stink! I only bought it because the place I generally buy lotion from was out of Goddess (or whatever they're calling the new formulation). That was a mistake — I should've tried a packet first.
The consistency is fine and my skin feels well-moisturized. I didn't feel the tingle much in the bed, but I was very red and itchy once I got out. Oh my gosh, the ATO is disgusting. I wasn't crazy about the smell in the bottle, but after tanning it's even worse. I smell like a million dead grandmas. Don't get me wrong — I don't mind "girly" scents at all — this one is just DISGUSTING to me.
I'll have to report back on my color later. I should've just waited and bought Goddess, but I suppose I'll slowly work my way through the bottle.

Rating: 4.9/5
Consistency- medium and rubs in nicely. It's easy to get streaks or staining because of the level of bronzers.
Heat: I don't mind it at all. I find I feel warmer using bronzers now which makes no sense.
Ato: I feel like I smell like a wet dog. Just saying.
Scent: before tanning it smells more like a powdery floral scent.
Honestly this is my favorite lotion EVER for a good color boost. After I use it everyone comments on how red I am but then it's automatically a nice bronze as long as I can avoid streaking.

Just tried this today and I don't know why I waited forever to! I've wanted to try it since forever ago hahaha.
Scent: Okay this is definitely a love it or hate it. It smells like roses and baby powder. I would love it if it didn't smell so artificial. I think that's the problem with it is that I love the thought of smelling baby powder and roses but I when I smelled this, it wasn't quite right because it smells kind of artificial.
ATO: Pretty bad. I smell like DHA with a layer of fake roses on top. Throughout the day, it got much much worse. I literally smelled like an old lady who needed a shower cause she hasn't showered in months because she thinks we live in the Elizabethan era. It's possibly the WORST ATO I have ever had. Seriously... I need some SB I Mist You!
Moisture: Decently moisturizing. It was easy to rub in and perfect texture. What I found odd about this lotion is that it was white when it's high in DHA.
Tingle: Medium intensity but gets you so red! Not itchy.
Color payoff: I am pleased with the color I got from it. For the terrible ATO, the color payoff is good.
I'm very on the fence with this one. The ATO is bad but the color is really good. I give it a 3/5 stars. I got an awesome color boost, but the ATO is so horrible that I almost died, not gonna lie.
