Designer Skin - Ravish Me Decedant Natural Bronzer
My review...I really wanted to try a natural bronzer since the few DHA ones I've tried tend to make me look yellow. After reading a list of natural bronzers on here, and reading several good reviews about Ravish Me, I thought I'd give it a try.
First of all, my tan is pretty advanced and I'm about as dark as I'm going to get (I posted pics of it a few days back on my "lotion/bed rotation" thread). I'm just looking for something that will give me an extra richness to my color. This lotion has a sweet, orange creamcicle scent. It's not obnoxious but it definately is noticeable. I personally find it pleasant. It's a thinner lotion so be careful squeezing it out of the bottle. It applied very smoothly and evenly and rubbed in very well too, which is important so you don't end up with streaks. It also didn't make me feel like I was sliding all over the bed. After the tanning session, when I got home, I checked and it didn't transfer any color to my white capris I had been wearing. I don't know if this is a problem with other bronzers but I thought it noteworthy. It hasn't left any ATO on my skin, and the scent of creamcicle has faded and is barely noticable. It's been several hours since I've tanned and still no ATO.
Now for the important part...did it add to my color? Well, it didn't create an "over the top dark", however, when I got home and checked it out in the mirrow I did have a "WOW!" reaction. I usually don't get a "WOW!" reaction from myself unless I use a tingle, so for me, this was significant. The color is very natural looking..it reminds me of how your skin looks after spending a few hours on the beach. There's no orange (or for me yellow) undertones and no noticable streaking (I checked several times). My hands didn't turn orange, though I did use a wet wipe after applying it just in case. I haven't showered yet so I don't know how the color holds up to bathing. My skin doesn't feel sticky or "clogged" and definately feels soft...not dry or itchy. This lotion didn't make me do backflips..the only one that does is DS Goddess which is a tingle...but it is one I'm glad to have in my lotion rotation.
4.5 out of 5 stars.
p.s....I just thought of a great idea! Maybe I'll make a cocktail with Ravish Me and Goddess and get the best of both worlds!
