My sweet boyfriend just bought me a spray tanning system from Turbo Tan. I am trying to find any and all reviews on this thing before I get it so I can know what to expect if any glitches or find tips for success people may have using this thing. This is what he bought: Turbo Tan Ultra (Model T85) Professional High Performance Sunless HVLP Turbine Spray Tanning System that includes: Turbo Tan Ultra Model T85 Professional High Performance HVLP Tanning System - Excellent for Salons and Mobile Technicians because of the High Volume of Clients they can get Spray Tanned in a Day. It's also Popular as a Durable Home System; High Performance Turbine Motor Air Pump Unit (110-120V U.S.) with a 9 Foot Flexible and Durable Air Hose; New High-Tech Professional Lightweight Plastic Composite Body HVLP Spray Application Gun; Detailed User Guide Manual Covering Assembly & Set-Up, Solution Tips, Application Process, Etc. 4 Ounce Bottle of Ocean 8.5% DHA Sunless Tanning Solution with Medium (Natural) Bronzer Color Guide - Ocean's most popular tanning solution. It works best with fair to medium complexion skin tone types (light skin, skin that sunburns, mild to medium tone skin, etc...) and provides a rich natural looking bronze tan. I also ordered the Norvell Amber Sun solution in Dark for the system in fear the sample stuff that comes with it is gross, and some norvell barrier cream (I'm a pro at using barrier cream for the mystic and versa I do at the salon and figured this was needed for this application as well).
Anyone having experience with HVLP's for home use that could pass on some info, that would be greatly appreciated!

I have had the Turbo Tan Ultra spray tanning machine for just over 3 years now, and I love it! The Ocean solution that it comes with actually proved to be very high quality and provides a nice, natural looking tan. I have a naturally olive complexion and skin that does not ever sunburn, so I ended up ordering the "dark" solution with a higher level of DHA in it and it worked very well and gave me my desired results. I agree that you can't go wrong with Norvell's Amber Sun solutions either, as this is what we used in the tanning salon where I used to work for our spray tanning machine there. After working in multiple tanning salons for over 6 years now- I have to share my opinion on barrier cream. I feel like any inexpensive basic white lotion/moisturizer will serve the purpose of blocking the spray tan on those key areas (toe nails, finger nails, palms, between fingers, around the bottoms of the feet, and any other extremely dry areas.)Good luck with your machine, after all this time of owning it and using it on a weekly basis, I have never had a single issue or problem arise. I do think it is important to clean properly (it comes with instructions that explain how in detail) after each use to keep it working at its best.
