I just started getting really bad headaches about 2 months ago and they have slowly but surely turned into migraines. I see my dr next week but I was curious if any of you take anything that I could get without a script? I bought Excedrin Migraine today not realizing it has Acetemophine in it (not supposed to take that cause of my liver) and I took 2 but im noticing any relief yet. I wanted to go to the ER last night it was so bad. This morning it felt better but its came back. This SUCKS! My mom thinks I'm a hypochondriac because it seems like everything is wrong with me (bipolar, severe back pain, thyroid issues, etc etc).

Real symptoms are not hypochondria. In the 33 years I went sick and undiagnosed with my genetic immune deficiency, DOCTORS called me a hypochondriac. Really? 105 degree fever and coughing up blood. A hypochondriac? Really? Pretty good actor, huh? I believe that people falsely call someone a hypochondriac, because they do not know how to fix the problem, so this is a way of them making themselves feel better because they can not fix the problem. It's typically a "guy" mentality... sadly to say. What is your thyroid issue? I am a thyroid cancer survivor. So maybe I have some thoughts/experiences with that particular issue that could be helpful.

I don't even remember what it's called n i take so much meds I don't remember the name of what I take ....it starts with an L. Levothyrxin I think? I had a lot going on with me n the always tested md for it n it finally came up EXTREMELY LOW n that's when I started on the meds. I gained like 50 lbs before I started the meds. Now I feel a lot better compared to how I felt then

Levoxyl or synthroid is the brand names for the chemical name you are trying to spell. It's thyroid hormone replacement for someone that does not make enough thyroid hormone.
I take synthroid now. I used to take levoxyl.
Glad it's making you feel better (at least for the thyroid issue).

I had daily migraines before I had my nasal surgery last year, so I feel for ya. Only Lortab could really phase them, but I couldn't be on that constantly.

the only real thing that can help that is otc without tylenol is an NSAID (such as ibuprofen or naproxen). But as a migraine sufferer, those dont do anything for me. I take Imitrex 100mg (generic: Sumatriptan) for migraines and that usually helps me. For the occasional times when it doesnt i'm with bronzeheels in the opioid category but I take Vicoprofen for mine (since I use it for cramps anyways and it works for my migraines too).

Sorry you've been feeling poopy. My twin and I get them at least twice a week!! It's horrible. I don't wish migraines on my worst enemy even! We've taken many different scripts for them. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Most of the time I need complete darkness, silence and an ice pack on my fore head and back of neck. And at times I still wake up with it. They are frustrating! My sis gets botox injections all around her head every few months to keep hers at bay. I haven't gone that far yet, but may have to. Anyways I totally feel your pain girl!! I hope your pain and migraines subside.
