I figured since there was a topic on those who lay in a bed, how often they lay and what lotions they use that I would start one for those of us who only lay outdoors. I lay solely outdoors, which is a bit of a drag in the cold months cause I get "white", but I love using what I have free to my advantage to get my summer color. So those of you who lay outdoors only let's get this thread going. Let everyone know how often and how long you lay. What types of lotions you use to get the best color, even post pics of your outdoor sun progress. I will start by saying.......... I laid for the first time this year yesterday 5-5-14 for 2 hours. I became and still am a huge fan of the European Gold line (I get mine at Walmart at 8 bucks a pop) and I get amazing results from it as you can see in the photo I posted from last year. This pics was taken only 4 times after I laid outdoors. I also just came inside from laying another 2 hours today, I again used EG "Dark Star" 60X. Plan to get another couple hours in tomorrow as the weather is looking to be in the low 90's and a UV index of 8.7 Happy OUTDOOR tanning all!!!!!!

Right now I'm in Seattle so usually the weathers not nice enough - although the UV index is a 6 today so I might try to get some natural sun even tho it's freezing outside.

That is a horrible experience, I have laid before when it was pretty out and the UV index was good but was chilly outside, every time the wind would blow I would get fully body chills. I hated it and did not stay out long at all. LOL =P

Until about 2 weeks ago I exclusively tanned outdoors Being a southerner, I enjoy the short period of time that's warm enough to lay out but still get chills from the wind lol It's starting to get pretty warm down here now, though. Today I only got to lay out for about an hour and a half with the UV at 8.

I laid out for a few hours on Sunday at the beach with AG Hot! (non-bronzer) and some SPF 30 because the uv index was 12.

Out of 295 Members, are you telling me only 2 lay outdoors!! Come on people I know there are more of you out there. I would gladly lay outside if the weather was decent. Did sit out yesterday, as long as stayed out of wind, in shorts and tee shirt when temp was 60 degrees with UV index of 7. But could not take any more off because neighbors outside with long pants and sweatshirts. I did not want to look to out of place. Can't wait until I can douse myself with lotion and tan for several hours at a time.

Why do you only tan outdoors? Indoor tanning means no horrible white bits lol.

Why do you only tan outdoors? Indoor tanning means no horrible white bits lol. Wait, a week ago in a different thread weren't you trying to convince everyone about the negatives of tanning and to stop going to salons? I'm just confused because now you seem to be advocating indoor tanning due to the lack of tan lines. (sorry if i'm completely wrong and that wasnt you)

Yeah that was me. I'm not advocating indoor tanning. But if you're gonna tan then no white bits is a good thing? Just wondered why you only tanned outdoors.

I tan outdoors on vacation and in the summer, but also using tanning beds and booths year round. I haven't been able to start up outdoor tanning yet because it hasn't been warm enough, but I use AG spray oil and Hawaiian Tropic Royal Blend, and Panama Jack Trophy oil. I also got turned on to using olive oil spiked with tingle, either power shots or sometimes just a straight up tingle.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You sound just like me. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. Even though the conditions may not be perfect, if the sun achieves a certain intensity (UV) of 6 or greater the urge to lay out in the sun can get overwhelming. I will try to locate a quiet place out of the wind in the direct sun to layout/sit to get as much sun as possible. You sometimes have to be creative to find a place, but it can be accomplished. Is it just me or does anyone else do this?
