So yesterday me and my mom spent 4 1/2 hours dying our hair! I used a home frosting kit and I'm pretty happy with the results. My only complaint is I left it on for only 20 when it said to leave on for 40,but when I felt my hair was on fire through the little cap and I noticed it turning white I sorta freaked and washed it out. Now it's a bit yellow to me. I have like three different color blondes as streaks in my hair due to me getting color more saturated on more sections. I went to ulta today and got some purple shampoo from matrix. I'm excited about my new blondish hair but now my hair is very dry. What do y'all think? Any tips to keep it from turning more yellow? Well it's not looking blonde at all in the second pic so here is a better up close pic. I also got a hair cut, which is taking some getting use to since I'm used to having such long hair. But it was soo damaged. Attachments:

Looks really cute on you! I actually just went back brunette tonight haha, but I've been blonde several times in my life (light blonde). I have a couple tips in the thread below. You're on the right track with the purple shampoo though. There are also "toning" packs that you can buy too. iamtanforever.proboards.com/thread/836/dyeing-hair-home

I love your hair color. Heathery is a pro when it comes to doing her blonde hair at home! I'm going through the process right now to very light blonde and it's been a pain in the ass. I've spent at least $400 in the last six months at the salon. I would love to do an all over bleach, but none of the hair dressers I've been to will do this, just a heavy foil and toning afterward. I use purple shampoo 2x a week to get the brassiness out.

Looks really good on you! I really like that dark blonde colour. Looks great with your tan.
I used to use home dyes a lottttt. My hair has been every colour under the sun. Mine used get so dry it would break. I'd recommend a warm oil treatment, and do a deep conditioning each week, just put on the conditioner and wrap your hair in a towel for 5/10 mins or so. Also be careful brushing your hair out while it's still wet as it can snap, and a detangling spray or a spray in leave in conditioner helps keep hair healthy. Now i get my blonde colour done at the hairdressers. Much less hassle for me, and i get a couple hours to read a magazine, relax with a cup of coffee and some biscuits and chat to my hairdresser and the other customers.
