I brought this on myself, however I do feel like people just don't take it seriously enough and often skip goggles. I have uv burning on one of my eyes and it's impacting my vision. I've been to a retina specialist and next is a cornea specialist because the ointment and drops prescribed aren't helping. I can't wear my contacts, my vision is horribly blurry, and lots of Drs don't take my insurance so this next appt is out of pocket.
So really, wear the goggles if you tan your face!

So sorry to hear that ugh. I'm pretty vigilant about wearing them but remove them at times to do something on phone etc, but I will definitely be a stickler about it now.

I didn't always go without. I used them for half the time, took them on and off, but I didn't just never wear them. It's not something I even thought twice about, to be honest. Hopefully my mistake can keep someone else from going through the same thing!

I do that to honestly. Just to try and even out my racoon eyes. Do you know what bulb did it? Was it high pressure or a regular bulb? For some reason I don't do it with hp because I think it will penetrate into my eye more.

If you don't wear goggles when tanning, you are risking damaging your eyes forever!

Not wearing goggles also causes night blindness which is irreversible.

I'm not gonna lie... I never wore goggles or any eye protection whatsoever until the past few years of tanning. And now I have to wear glasses because my vision is all blurry and I also have a lot of trouble seeing in the dark. So, yes, wear your eye protection guys. I thought I was invincible and nothing bad would happen to me and then it all came raining down on me like a freaking hail storm.

I know this post is old but I thought I would add my 2 cents π I see alot of people on social media posting selfies of them in the tanning bed without any eye protection whatsoever! I always thought it a must when tanning kinda like wearing a seatbelt when driving! Maybe I am old school but I am not trying to skimp out on the eyewear! I know all sorts of bad things can happen if you dont wear them right!? Speaking of I just replaced mine this morning with a pair of CT PROSPECS. My old ones are over a year old and I wanted some more flexible ones and the cute little baggy they came withπ So instead of looking cute in a selfie I think I will stick to playing it safe!

I'm very careful, and I will always wear eye protection in a tanning bed. Does anyone have any tips for putting them on to avoid getting weird tan lines on your eyes?
