I've seen a few post so now I'm curious. Do people put lotion on before they get to the salon? is it better? worse? does it make a difference? I've always just done it right before I get in the bed.

I always put lotion on in the tanning room.
I believe this is what most people do.

Yeah it really doesn't matter when you do it. It's just more convenient to do it in the tanning room, at least for me.

Oh okay I always have too but I have seen a few people saying "I could already feel the tingle kicking in before I got to the salon" so I was jw

Yeah it sucks having to rush but I understand why some salons have to do it. I work at one and some people take a REALLY long time to get in the bed!

I've always done it right when I get into the room. At our training with new sunshine (AG, SB, DS, and CT lotions) they say that's how the lotions are designed, especially if you are using a bronzer. When you put clothes on over top of the lotion it can rub off on your clothes taking the lotion off your skin and not giving you the maximum results

I've always applied my tanning lotion before I go to the salon to tan. I hate being rushed and the salon is 2 mins up the street so it works for me.

If you're going right to the salon and aren't using a bronzer it's no big deal to lotion beforehand. You can also just tell them to set the timer longer or have them wait a couple minutes to set it while you're in there so you're not rushing.

Yeah it sucks having to rush but I understand why some salons have to do it. I work at one and some people take a REALLY long time to get in the bed! But it doesn't occur to tanning employees how long things can take. The person has to remove possibly tricky or delicate clothing, apply lotion to their entire body (the bigger the person the longer that alone takes) then add nail savers, possible UV hair protectant, tan tattoo stickers, SPF to real tattoos and healing scars, Twilight Teeth, a cover for their willy if that's their thing, set up Bluetooth speaker, you get the idea. I can barely just get the lotion and nail savers on before the timer if I don't have them delay it.
