What are some of your all's favorite lipstick brands and colors? I'm looking for something that won't feel sticky, smudge, taste bad lol and something that doesn't wear off too quickly. I've also heard of lip stains. Anyone use though very often? I'm not looking for anythig crazy expensive either. Something kinda cheap since I probably won't wear it very often.

I really like the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. They last a while on me, but they aren't drying or sticky. They have a peppermint scent. They're basically a combination of a lipstick/gloss/stain. They look like this:

They look like crayons lol. Do they glide on smoothly on your lips? I'm liking the second one on the right side. It's a pretty pink.

MAC viva Glam original. - not that expensive considering: cost of drugstore ones, lasting power, ability to be used as a lipstick or stain or blush - taste - well...lipsticky...lip smackers are the only thing that don't taste lipsticky to me though. - not tacky sticky. After it sets it gets less sticky. Can be matte-ed out with powder thru tissue for ultimate lasting power. - hydrating - I love the easy lip of just putting a dot on my center lip and then putting on chapstick over that to blend it out. A little bit of this color goes a long way. Russian Red is good if you look better in cool/blue toned lip products than warm. (original glam is warmer)
Why not go to the makeup counter and get a bunch of free lip samples?
That could be fun and freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Nice review Heatherann! I might stop by the store and pick one up. They sound pretty good. How much do they range from as far as cost?
And I might have to stop the mall sometime and see if I can get some samples of some MAC ones.

They're usually up to $10 regular price, but you can often find 40% off or buy one get one 50% off sales in drugstores.

I love MAC lipsticks. They're kinda more on the expensive side but they last a long time so you don't have to reapply often. My favorites are Viva Glam Nicki, Viva Glam Gaga 1, Snob and Saint Germain.

When I really do my makeup I'm a dark eye nude lip kind of girl... so usually I really like to wear a clear gloss or I've really fallen in love with Colour Riche Balm by Loreal Paris in Caramel Comfort... it's like the same shade as my lips and gives them a shimmer... goes on sooo smooth and moisturizes my lips really nicely... comes in a bunch of colors... I think I gave around 10 bucks for it at Wal-Mart ...

Alright so I bought one of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. I got the color 'Cherish'. It's pretty but I kinda wish I had picked something a little darker. They were $8.99 at Ulta and buy one get one half off. I only bought one but now I wish I had gotten a second one half off. I tried mine today and it went on really well and lasted awhile. I wore it for 5 hours (before wiping it off for lunch lol) and it didn't rub off or get all gross on my lips. It just felt like I had chapstick on, no sticky feeling. I agree with Heatherann that the scent is kinda minty. Also, after rubbing it off my lips looked darker.
