Ok so, how do you get off self-tanning spray? I messed up on my legs and feet and want to re-do it. I looked it up on google and got some options, but I want to know something someone has tried that has for sure worked. I seen a self tan remover at Walmart, but right now I don't have a way to get there.

Well, it's probably gone by now as this post is a few days old. However, some people have used Windex, but that's got to be terribad for your skin, so I don't recommend it. Exfoliating helps, but that will only expedite the fading process, not remove it all in one fell swoop.

I have a tiny bit of Windex, but I agree, that really doesn't seem healthy at all, lol. And if my skin has a bad reaction to it I'm screwed, lol. I really wish there was a better way...Because I don't need it to fade more seeing as how it's still going to be uneven. I see it getting not as splotchy now, but I'm just using a bronzer when I go tanning to try to make it look better.

I was went to Walmart yesterday, which I pretty much never do, but I saw a bottle of sunless tan corrector/remover next to all of the sunscreens and tanning stuff. I'm not sure if it works because I've never used it, but it might be worth a try.

I seen that and was wondering too...my only problem is it was like 8 bucks or so and I have almost no money right now, and I also wonder if it even works. I guess the stuff I got stays awhile. It's still there and I put it on Tuesday, lol. I honestly don't think I'll be buying the Banana Boat self tanner anymore. Maybe the color just doesn't mesh well with my skin color. I have a reddish tone, so I think it makes it redder.

I realize this is an old post, but for future reference ... I read on a self-tanning site once that you should rub baby oil over your body, let it soak in, then run a bath and soak in the tub.
Adding my own spin to it, make sure the bath has actual bath/shower gel in it for extra cleansing (run a large palmful of gel under the running water to ensure bubbles). Soak as long as you can, and use gentle exfoliation (a loofah or washcloth is perfect) on the problem areas while you're soaking.
Once you're out and have dried yourself off, apply a thick layer of a strong alpha-hydroxy-acid body lotion (at least 10 or 15% glycolic acid formulated at a pH of 4 or lower), keep it on overnight, and shower next morning (again, scrubbing gently). This should help fade things.
While it's not a quick fix (I had to do this a few times when I had a disastrous spraytan result earlier this summer), it definitely helps the skin cells shed more quickly, and also helps a patchy self-tan fade more evenly. Avoid UV exposure for a week afterward, since the scrubbing & chemical exfoliation will make your skin more sun-sensitive.
