Okay ladies and gents. Im sure theres a thread of this somewhere on IAT buttttt i really dont feel like searching cos im lazy. Lol anywhoo i just got my first tattoo on my forearm. Its decent sized and has quite a bit of color. Its a hummingbird with a flower and has my gramas name and dates on it. Its about the size of a soft ball. Id post a pic but im on my phone and havent quite figured it out yet. Sorry! But im actually planning an entire tattoo sleeve.
But to get to my questions:
Whats your experience with tanning and having tatts? How do you protect them? Cover them or use an spf stick? Have yours faded from tanning? What would you recommend i do for when i get my entire sleeve? (itll be gradual of course) Anything helps! Because those of you who know me will know that i REFUSE, and i repeat REFUSE to give up tanning. NOT HAPPENING. NO CHANCE, SORRY, NOT SORRY, SEE YA LATER, BYE.
seriously though...lol i just need advice on keeping my tattoos decent while being able to maintain my year round tan!!

I'ved used both creams and tattoo sticks and imo you can't go wrong with using either.
Right now I'm using the AG SPF 60 tattoo stick and it works great for me.
I have some older tatts from when I was 18 like my black panther that I know has faded from being lazy and not protecting it. But I have tatts that I got in my 20's and they look really good still since I was anal about protecting them and my last one I got a few years ago with my sons name and some purple & blue roses still looks pretty vibrant.
I was using the Miami Ink SPF cream and it worked great too....I noticed while using this I would always get compliments on how vibrant and good my tatts looked.
I think over time all tatts fade regardless but protecting them helps tons and if your gonna do a sleeve go the cream route....wich I think I will be going back too as soon as my stick is used up..I wanna try the new Jwoww tattoo cream...wich I was gonna post about lol

I've had my tats for about 20 years now, never did anything special to them as far as tanning goes and they're still as bright as the first day I got them. I think a lot has to do with the person who does them and maybe the ink they use.
