I used to be able to grow my nails nice and long and keep them beautiful. Now, all they are are stubs! My nails have always been very soft and pliable, but they peel like onion skin. I've done everything....and I mean everything!!! Hand creams, supplements, both cheap and expensive nail treatments, polishes, abstainng from polishes, different nail files....everything! I'm seriously debating getting acrylics even though I swore I'd never do them again after having them done once years ago and having my nails ruined for months until they grew out. I thought about the new gel polishes too...but I'm afraid my nail underneath would peel causing the polish to lift off anyway. Thoughts anyone?

I have the same issue and started getting solar nails. They stronger than acrylic and don't change colors from tanning. They are done with powders, pink and white, so you always have a French manicure, but you can paint over them too. .

Just my two cents, but I wouldn't recommend getting artificial nails. That might do my harm than help the problem. I used to get acrylics & gel nails for years and finally gave them up last year. My nails are still damaged. It takes a long time for me to grow my nails out and because of having artificial nails for so long, when my nails do grow, they are very brittle & thin. I know you said you've tried everything, but have you ever tried Nail Magic? That is the only thing that has helped my nails. For years I would buy Sally Hansen's nail treatments and they did nothing for me. I found Nail Magic at Sally's Beauty Supply. I use this on my nails when I don't feel like wearing polish or even as a base coat when I do wear polish. It has helped my nails so much. I also love CND's Solar Oil too, I feel like that works well with the Nail Magic. Nail Magic

I just bought a bottle of that nail magic. I figured it's not that expensive so I'll give it a try. I saw the cnd solar oil online but do you if it's sold anywhere else? I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks for the suggestion

So I've been using tbe Nail Magic for a little over a week exactly how the directions say, and I don't have any new spots thats are peeling. Now I do have to say that my nails generally grow better in the summertime, so winter will be the true test. But I'm really happy so far. Great recommendation!! I had never heard of this product before.

I picked up some Solar Oil today..it smells amazing! I'd buy tanning lotion that smelled like it! So far my nails are doing really well with the nail magic. I did take a "before" pic of them so maybe I'll post the results sometime.

I would love to not have to wear nail savers cuz they're a pain to keep on while you're trying to adjust your bits in the bed. Then of course laying out effs them up too.

My mom has thick beds that can grow like yours in the after pics, I never have never will so might as well cover it with acrylic. 20 years and going strong lol. Whenever they happen to be off in between fills or sets they look the same as always, no damage.
