Never heard of those. What are they about? I just finished Joyland by Stephen King about and hour ago. I've got to pick a couple more books up on Monday. I've actually only read books by Stephen King. Desperation and Dreamcatcher were my favorite so far. I don't know why I've only read his books. I kinda like scary , horror like ones I guess. If anyone has any other author or book recommendations , I'll gladly take them!!! I need to expand my collection in a different direction

I'm reading the first Mortal Instruments book and have been for awhile. I just can't seem to sit long enough to just finish it.

I've owned Valley of the Dolls forever, and it's been on my list for years! Mortal instruments is a paranormal/fantasy/romance Young Adult series (I'm 25 lol so maybe too old to be obsessed with it) and usually I don't like paranormal romance all that much, but it's so intriguing!! Fascinating, filled with religious and occult themed lore, storyline so well thought out and developed, it doesn't feel like you're reading a Young Adult book at all. In a nutshell, about an ancient legion of peace keepers in the paranormal realm called ShadowHunters, and a girls discovery of her own ties to them. So awesome!!!! don't wanna say too much and give anytning away to potential readers.

Omg, I was so hooked from the first one I don't know how you can't finish it! Laney, definitely check these out, like I said they're young adult but so dark that they really don't feel like you're reading something geared towards teenagers. No offense to teenagers! I was one myself awhile ago haha

I am also in my 20's (28) and I tend to pick young adult books over others too. I like Twilight (hate all you want lol) and Hunger Games and Harry Potter too. 50 shades of grey was awesome too.

Nice to know I'm not alone! haha and I loved first 2 Divergent, but never finished 3rd, because I stupidly lent it out to too many people who were also reading the series, before I had read it myself.

I'm a huge historical fiction nerd. I love mostly Tudor England & early British royalty. I'm reading the War of the Roses series right now by Phillipa Gregory & I've also got the first Divergent book going too. I'm all over the place though. I'm a shameless Pretty Little Liars junkie hahaha

Well, until I get over to my twin sisters house and raid her book collection, I guess I'll be my same ol creature of habit . Eep. So I picked up the books Everything's Eventual, Just after Sunset and Nightmares & Dreamscapes . All of them are by Stephen King of course. They're short story/ dark tales books. Hope they are good like his other ones I've read. Gonna start Everything's Eventual as soon as I log off

I looooove The Mortal Instruments! I've read all of her stuff. I've actually been her fan since before she was published. She used to be a really popular Harry Potter fanfiction author! You can still find her "famous" HP trilogy (the Draco trilogy) if you look hard enough. She wrote under the name Cassie Claire at that time.
But yeah, I read mostly YA stuff. Which is sad since I'm 28 lmao. I read historical fiction too, and lots of sci-fi and fantasy. Basically, any kind of fiction. Non-fiction bores me.
